Teme Tots is our parish's group providing fantastic play activities for children aged between a few months and four years old. We have a growing range of toys, crafts and activities, so there is always something for the children to get stuck into - whatever their interests or developmental stage.
Our latest initiative is our library. Children have the chance to choose a book which they can take home and share it with their parents and carers and it's lovely to see how proud the children are of their book bags as they come and go each week.
Parents and carers stay during the sessions and are free to play with their children, or grab the opportunity to talk to each other, and have a drink and cake (usually homemade - but always delicious). We have a band of great volunteers who are always on hand to give you a bit of space, and the chance to interact with the other adults !
Through the year, we also take the opportunity to join in with local church events. Lambing church is popular every year - especially with lambs being born in the middle of the service this year, and the children had great fun making decorations to go on their entry into the Christmas Tree Festival. There is also the end of term 'Beach' party to look forward to with sand, paddling pools and mocktails
If you'd like to find out more, contact Tina Lord on tinaslord@gmail.com. We meet each week during term time, on a Friday in Rochford village hall. We do have a limit on places so from time to time, we have to operate a waiting list with priority given to those in local villages.
