Our Stories in Living History

There are three aspects to this project: Stories, Walks and Geocaches

Stories

There are a wealth of stories from these villages about village life, agriculture, life during the war, church life....

Please follow this  link to listen to audio recordings of people talking about life in the villages or download them to play on your phone or tablet.

You can hear Peter reminiscing about leaving school to farm, Jean telling of how sunlight on a grave helped identify an ancestor’s resting place, of a prisoner of war living in Death’s Dingle.....

Walks

This is a fabulous area for walking. Fourteen walks have been prepared. That is two from each church, one longer and one shorter.

Walk leaflets are available in the churches and they are downloadable from this site as pdf files.

For those of you with gps receivers, or whose phones work with gps (many modern phones do) the walks are downloadable as gdb files. Load it onto your gps receiver or phone and then you will know that you are on exactly the correct path! Or you can download the gdb files and look at the walks in Google Earth.
