Funerals

The Church has a long history of providing services around the time of death. We welcome the legal right that anyone from the village has to a funeral service in the Church and burial (space permitting) in the churchyard. We try to accommodate the needs of the person who has died and their family. We were very willing to allow a Roman Catholic priest officiate in one of the churches for a member of his flock and for an agnostic arranged an event that his family felt comfortable with to mark his death.

Bereaved families are usually guided by local undertakers who we are very happy to work with.
