Covid 19

Unfortunately in line with Church of England recommendations, we are not having any services for the time being. We will also be following Church of England guidelines for baptisms, weddings and funerals

In line with the Prime Minister's appeal last night (23rd March) we have been asked to close all our seven churches for visits and/ or prayer. While our church buildings are closed, the Church community remains active in supporting and praying in our localities and online via our Facebook page.

We will let you know here when we are able to reopen.

At the time of writing (24th March) there does not seem to be any end in sight - but be assured that we will restore our services as soon as it is safe to do do.

All our churches are offering contact, support and assistance for the vulnerable or housebound - initially contact:

  • Our Priest, Rev Julia Curtis by  Email or phone her on 01886 853286

  • or Robin Dean by Email or phone him on 01886 853295

We feel that the attached Psalm might be helpful:

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.
